The Von Roll 77956-71B3 is a 6-mil thick mica paper tape with non-woven glass reinforcement and a PET film on one side. The fully cured polyester binder is very flexible. This construction permits increased mica content per unit thickness over a conventionally reinforced, woven glass product, which results in greater voltage endurance protection. The nonwoven glass backing also allows the tape version of this product to pull down flat and tight, even around an irregular surface such as the "nose" of a coil.
