The Metcal CV-H6-HTD is an ESD-safe, connection validation (CV) series high thermal demand (HTD) solder iron hand-piece. This iron is designed for use with CV series soldering systems and is compatible with Connection Validation (CV) technology, which evaluates the quality of a solder joint by calculating the intermetallic compound formulation and provides closed loop feedback instantly to the operator.
